Lost Coast Indica India Pale Ale

Brewed fresh in the Humboldt nation. Visit our web site at: www.lostcoast.com. You have just picked up the Lost Coast Brewery's filtered ale, Indica India Pale Ale (IPA). The India Pale Ale style was developed in the 19th century by British brewers for the troops and colonists living in India. The ale was brewed extra strong and highly hopped to protect the ale on its long sea voyage. True to the style, our Indica has a higher than average alcohol content (6.5% by volume) balanced by radical bittering from Columbus hops, then dry hopped with generous amounts of Willamette and Centennial hop flowers. The result is an ale worthy of its historical name while capturing its own distinctiveness. Although the Lost Coast Brewery is in the Victorian seaport village of Eureka, we no longer transport our ale by sea. But we like to think our hoppy, full-bodied Indica captures the spirit of those long 19th century journeys as it travels from our brewery to you.
